Foot type

There are 3 basic foot types. Select your foot type, if you're not sure please select "Don't know". You can come and visit us for a complete analysis of your foot and running style.

High Foot - a supinatorHigh foot - a supinator:
The mid foot arch is excessively pronounced. It leaves a strong print of only the fore and back foot. The mid foot area is recognized only in its outline. 10% of the runners tend to underpronation, running completely on the exterior of the sole. Runners with high feet tend towards underpronation.

Average Foot - neutralAverage foot - neutral:
The average foot (approx 25% of the runners) have a well-developed foot type. The foot leaves a print so that the fore, mid and back foot become clearly visible. In the interiorlateral range under the foot arch there is no print Normal Pronation. At the normal pronation only a low inward-tilting of the foot exists. The load situation by the pronation behaviour under physiological and biomechanical aspects is optimal.

Flat Foot - over pronatorFlat foot - over pronator
The flat foot is the most common type (approx 75% of the runners). It has a flattened foot arch and leaves a complete footprint. Overpronation is an added pronation movement under the run load. The inward-tilting of the foot in the stand phase is caused by a strong strain of the foot arch. Approximately 75% of the runners tend towards overpronation.
